This incredible dime necklace is made with beautiful silver roosevelt dime beads. They are beads made from the US silver roosevelt dimes which minted from 1946 to 1964. They are 90% silver. These beads are created by cleaning, doming, and sanding edges the dime, then soldering them together. 2mm Holes are then drilled in the cener of the beads. They are then polished to remove firescale from the soldering process. They all measure about 16 to 17 mm in diameter and 8-9mm in width.
This necklace is made from exactly 48 dime beads. Thats 9 oz of silver! It’s big, bold, and beautful! The beads are then strung on 1.3mm foxtail chain which is soldered to a sterling silver hook-and-eye clasp.
The necklace from clasp to clasp measures 23” in length and fits like a 22” necklace.
