Arrowhead Warrior Necklace
This unique piece was definetly a labor of love. Each and every bead is hand made, most are made with mercury dimes. Each arrowhead is cast with sand casting method using an actual arrowhead as a pattern. The vibrant blue stone is Ithica Peak turquoise. This beautiful piece weighs a total of 276 grams or 9.7oz It is 22” long with a 4” extender This will make a great collectors piece, to wear and amaze anyone who sees it. Its has a small tag with my makers mark and .925 stamped on it.
All put together this piece is preserving a bit of history. I wanted to make something that reminds of my home’s history. The rugged high valley desert of southern colorado by the rio grande river. Where you can find petroglyphs and arrowheads if you look carefully. All beneath a clear crisp blue sky. Untouched by pollution. I imagine it represents a lone Indian warrior, hunting on the plains beneath the vibrant blue sky.
